In an internal email, Nilekani urged employees to support Dash, highlighting his three-decade career at Infosys, where he has held various senior leadership roles across multiple sectors, including retail and energy.

Nilekani recalled first meeting Dash as a young engineer from IIT Kharagpur, who earned a place at the leadership table through his execution skills and client focus.
Dash has built long-standing relationships with marquee clients and has been instrumental in establishing Infosys' Resources & Utilities business.
His appointment is based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and is subject to shareholder approval for a five-year term.
