Hisham Abugharbeih, 26, was arrested after the body of his roommate, Zamil Limon, was discovered on the Howard Frankland bridge on April 24, 2026. The search for Limon's girlfriend, Nahida Bristy,, who remains missing, is ongoing. Hillsborough County authorities reported that Limon’s remains were found early Friday morning, intensifying concern in the local community.

Abugharbeih has been taken into custody on preliminary charges that include unlawfully moving a dead body, failure to report a death, tampering with evidence, false imprisonment, and battery. A special tactical team assisted in his apprehension at his family’s home, where he emerged with his hands raised.

“This is a deeply disturbing case that has shaken our community,” said Chad Chronister, Hillsborough County Sheriff. An autopsy is scheduled to ascertain the cause of Limon’s death, with results expected by Saturday morning.

Authorities noted that Abugharbeih has a history of legal troubles, including two previous arrests for battery and burglary. More details are expected to emerge as the investigation unfolds and the search continues for Bristy, who was also missing at the time of Limon’s death.
