Google TV is aiming to enhance user experience through new functionalities.
"Starting this Summer", a new 'Short videos for you' row will appear on the home screen, initially populated with YouTube Shorts.
"The rollout starts today with Gemini-enabled TCL TVs in the US" and will extend to more devices later.
The feature is designed to create a
personalized feed of short, engaging videos, with plans to include other sources in the future.
In addition, Google Photos is gaining significant upgrades with
dynamic slideshows available globally.
Users can activate this by selecting Google Photos in screensaver settings.
The
AI-powered features will include generative capabilities allowing transformations of photos with
simple voice prompts through tools like Nano Banana and Veo.
Users will be able to create clips from scratch or animate still images, enhanced by a
Gemini-powered search for easy memory retrieval.
This multilayered initiative is part of Google’s broader strategy to enhance interactive entertainment on big screens, making it easier for users to access short-form content without navigating through separate apps.
