Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) made significant investments in July, particularly in consumer services, healthcare, and consumer durables.123

Consumer durables also saw a surge, with total investments reaching ₹7,342 crore after ₹2,384 crore in the first half and ₹4,958 crore in the second half.
In contrast, the capital goods sector experienced net outflows of ₹6,275 crore, while telecommunications faced selling of ₹5,725 crore.4
Financial services, despite being the largest sector by assets under custody, recorded a net selling of ₹694 crore for the month, with a shift from net buying of ₹1,975 crore in the first half to selling of ₹2,669 crore in the latter half.5
The metals and mining sector had a mixed month, attracting ₹5,993 crore in the first half but seeing a net outflow of ₹1,056 crore in the second, resulting in net inflows of ₹4,937 crore for July.6
Information technology also saw a notable increase in investments, with ₹3,298 crore added in the second half after just ₹60 crore in the first half, totaling ₹3,358 crore for the month.7
