Four startups were awarded a total of $790,000 in funding at the Net Zero Challenge 2025, which concluded on November 21. The event spotlighted innovative climate solutions to tackle pressing issues in Vietnam's sustainability efforts.
Alcarbo Technologies emerged as the winner in Track 1 for Renewables and Carbon Removal, while Shoes Agtech led Track 2 focused on Food Systems and Sustainable Agriculture. Vietnam Food, recognized in Track 3 for Circular Economy and Waste Management, secured a notable $150,000 investment from various venture firms.
Additionally, Shoes Agtech received a $50,000 cash prize from Sembcorp Industries. This funding aims to bolster early-stage climate technology investments, driving innovation and enhancing economic resilience in Vietnam. Touchstone Partners commented, “We believe early-stage climate technology investment not only drives innovation but also strengthens the foundation for long-term economic resilience.”
