The IDF reported that five other soldiers were wounded in the incident. In response, Israel's military launched strikes against Hezbollah in multiple locations across southern Lebanon, targeting what they described as “Hezbollah terrorists and infrastructure sites.” These strikes were characterized as a reaction to “repeated violations of the ceasefire” by the Iran-backed group.5
