Ferrari is intensifying its efforts to surpass McLaren in the 2025 Formula 1 constructors’ championship, with team principal Fred Vasseur highlighting recent progress but underscoring the ambition to win races rather than settle for second place.

"We want to win races – we don't want to be P2. It means that we have to be focused on McLaren," Vasseur said, reflecting the team’s competitive mindset.

Vasseur noted, "If you look at the fact we were 50 or 60 points behind Mercedes and Red Bull after China when we were disqualified, and now we are in front of them, I think that over the last four or five events we did a decent job."

Despite this progress, Ferrari acknowledges ongoing challenges, particularly in tire management. Vasseur explained, "I think that we all have the same issue of trying to perfectly understand the tires, between the compounds in terms of consistency and performance."
