According to Clay Sun, President of EVA Air, “The launch of nonstop Taipei–Delhi service represents an important milestone in EVA Air’s network development.” The new service aims to enhance economic ties between Taiwan and India, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and technology.25
Travelers from Delhi will benefit from seamless onward connections to major destinations across India through EVA Air’s partnership with Air India, a fellow Star Alliance member. Likewise, passengers from India can connect to EVA Air’s extensive North American network via Taipei, catering to the growing demand from business travelers, students, and tourists.
The new route also allows eligible Indian nationals traveling to the U.S. or Canada to take advantage of Taiwan’s conditional visa-waiver transit program, facilitating easier stopovers in Taiwan. The published flight schedule includes departures every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with convenient timings designed for onward connections.
EVA Air’s entry into the Indian market fills a crucial gap, connecting one of Asia’s largest outbound markets to Taipei, and follows the airline's earlier launch of nonstop flights to Washington Dulles in 2026.
“Delhi now represents another strategic expansion as the carrier deepens connectivity across Asia,” the airline stated, highlighting the importance of this new route.
