Enrola, a three-year-old startup, has successfully pivoted from an education marketplace to AI sales technology, raising $2.1 million in Seed funding led by Purpose Ventures. The company aims to enhance customer engagement and sales conversion for businesses, particularly in the high-consideration B2C sector.12346
Founded by Jo Thomas and Yvette Quinby, Enrola initially operated as an education comparison platform, securing $800,000 in pre-Seed funding in late 2024. However, the founders recognized a greater opportunity in developing an AI sales agent to convert leads generated through their marketplace. This led to the decision to park the marketplace operation in September 2025 and focus on the sales agent as the core product.5

Since the pivot, Enrola has signed 28 customers across various industries, including education, insurance, and fintech, and processed over 250,000 leads. The AI sales agent can answer customer questions, assess readiness for sales engagement, and even close sales directly. Thomas emphasized the shift in consumer behavior, stating, “The way people buy has already changed, and it is going to keep changing fast.”
The new funding will be utilized to scale the AI agents and adapt the platform to emerging consumer purchasing behaviors. Purpose Ventures' MD, Derek Gerrard, noted the significant problem of lead generation inefficiencies, stating, “It is an enormous, expensive problem hiding in plain sight.”
“The startup has signed 28 customers across education, insurance, fintech, legal services, utilities and comparison businesses, and processed over 250,000 leads since the pivot. David Johnson, former head of GTM automation at UpGuard, has joined as head of growth.”
