- Adiabatic Technologies has successfully raised ₹8.3 crore in a seed round to enhance its Lithium-Ion battery production for applications in drones and robotics.
- Darshan Meher said the funding accelerates high-performance battery systems designed and engineered in India, and will help expand manufacturing, strengthen the engineering team and continue product development.
- Adiabatic designs its battery systems in-house, including cell selection, pack architecture, thermal management and battery management software, for applications requiring high power output, rapid charging and enhanced thermal protection.
- Dhruv Sane, principal at Malpani Ventures, said Adiabatic developed capabilities in battery design, thermal management and battery management systems, adding that the real value in battery manufacturing lies in engineering reliable systems.
Adiabatic Technologies has raised ₹8.3 crore in seed funding to scale its production of lithium-ion battery systems, primarily for drones and robotics. The funding round, led by Malpani Ventures and Avinya Ventures, will enable the startup to increase its annual manufacturing capacity to 100 MWh and enhance product development.167
Founded in 2022 by Darshan Meher, Adiabatic Technologies specializes in custom lithium-ion battery packs, smart chargers, and battery management systems. The startup has already deployed over 20,000 battery systems across more than 25 manufacturers in sectors such as defence, agricultural equipment, and electric vehicles.23
Meher stated, “This funding allows us to accelerate what we’ve been building over the last few years: high-performance battery systems designed and engineered in India.” He emphasized that the capital will help expand manufacturing and strengthen the engineering team.
Adiabatic's products are designed for applications requiring high power output, rapid charging, and enhanced thermal protection. The startup is also developing specialized battery platforms for autonomous mobile robots and unmanned aerial systems. Dhruv Sane, principal at Malpani Ventures, noted the importance of engineering in battery manufacturing, stating, “We believe that the real value in battery manufacturing lies in engineering: designing systems that perform reliably under demanding operating conditions.”
“Darshan Meher said the funding will expand manufacturing, strengthen the engineering team and continue investing in product development for high-performance battery systems designed and engineered in India. Malpani Ventures principal Dhruv Sane said the real value in battery manufacturing lies in engineering reliable systems, as Adiabatic targets robotics, defence, drones, electric mobility and marine applications.”
