- The Category A quota will fall by 4 per cent to 7,134, continuing a downward trend that began in the February to April 2026 period.

- The next quota announcement for the bidding period of November to January 2027 will be made in October.
The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for the August to October 2026 period will increase by 0.2% to 19,085, as announced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) on July 24. This marks a slight rise from the previous quarter, where 19,052 COEs were issued, reflecting a 1% increase.12511
However, the Category A certificates will see a significant decline, dropping by 4% to 7,134, continuing a downward trend that began in the February to April 2026 period. In contrast, the Category B quota will increase by 6.2% to 5,527, and the Category C quota will rise by 5.4% to 1,836.78
The quotas for motorcycles (Category D) and the open category (Category E) will also decrease, with Category D falling by 2.5% to 3,065 and Category E dropping by 0.2% to 1,523.910
Bidding under the new quota will commence on August 3, with exercises scheduled for the first and third Mondays of each month. Notably, there will be a longer interval of three weeks between the second bidding exercise in August and the first in September. The next quota announcement for the November to January 2027 period is expected in October.
