The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is serving up an array of unconventional food offerings this year, including Kraft Dinner smoothies and pickle-flavoured coffee.17

Mark Holland, CEO of the CNE, emphasized the fair's role in Toronto's vibrant food scene, stating, “Toronto is one of the greatest food cities in the world and so we take our responsibility really seriously to be a big part of that.”2

The event features a mix of sweet and savory dishes, such as butter chicken taquitos, which Holland named as his favorite.3

Other daring combinations include jerk chicken hotdogs wrapped in waffles and ramen shell kimchee chicken tacos, both enhanced with bright pink cotton candy and the CNE's new Sweet Heat cotton candy hot sauce.8

Greekery Bakeshop is introducing unique flavors like a smoky bacon and white chocolate iced mocha and a dill pickle Greek iced coffee.9

Audrey St-Gelais from Greekery noted, “The pickle flavour has just been a staple at the CNE for so long.”

The Korean fried chicken ramen taco from Los Vietnamita Taqueria features taco shells made from Buldak instant noodles and is topped with cotton candy aioli and kimchi.
