Brick Theater’s T4T Fest opens with $25 tickets, spotlighting trans voices in Brooklyn

The Brick Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is hosting its T4T Fest from June 3 to 8, a festival dedicated to showcasing the work of trans artists for trans audiences. Tickets are priced affordably between $25 and $50, with each performance running approximately 120 minutes.

One of the festival’s headlining plays is _The Pride of Lions_, created by a trans Black Filipinx theatre artist. Directed by é boylan and dramaturged by Gaven Trinidad, the play explores themes of homophobia and transphobia that persist nearly a century after the events inspiring the story. As Mason stated, “The events which inspired this play took place almost 100 years ago, yet the homophobic and transphobic attitudes it explores have not changed.”
