Bob Seger is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his acclaimed album Face the Promise with an expanded edition set for release on September 18, 2026. This marks the first time the album will be available on vinyl and streaming services, featuring four previously unreleased tracks: “Time,” “Little Jane,” “Red Eye to Memphis,” and “Let Me Try.”123456
Originally released in September 2006, Face the Promise debuted at No. 4 on the *Billboard* 200 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA within three months. The album was significant as it was Seger’s first studio project since 1995’s *It’s a Mystery* and did not feature his longtime band, the Silver Bullet Band.7
The remastered edition has been crafted by Seger’s longtime collaborator Robert Vosgien and includes updated artwork, a gatefold vinyl package, and a 12-page booklet. The lead single, “Wait for Me,” was released in July 2006, and the album also features a duet with Patty Loveless titled “The Answer’s in the Question.”
Despite retiring from touring in 2019, Seger continues to surprise fans with new music, proving that his storytelling prowess remains strong even after 65 years in the industry. The expanded edition not only celebrates his past but also offers a glimpse into his musical future.
