BJP MPs protested in Parliament against a recent lathi-charge on student protesters in Ranchi, sharply criticizing Rahul Gandhi for his perceived double standards. In response, Congress leaders demanded accountability from Home Minister Amit Shah for police actions against students, raising slogans such as “Amit Shah Jawab Do” (Amit Shah, provide an answer). Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a blistering attack, questioning the government's accountability for the alleged use of excessive force, including lathis and pellet guns, against student protesters nationwide.3

“What do you think, who is responsible? When thousands of students gather and they have one demand, you shower lathis on them, you fire pellet guns at them, and in Bihar, you use AK-47s against them,” she stated. She further questioned, “Are you not accountable to the public? So, should we just sit quietly?”
These remarks come amid a series of student protests in Delhi, Jharkhand, and Bihar over recruitment irregularities and examination paper leaks. The Congress has called for a formal statement and apology from the Home Minister on the parliamentary floor regarding police action during these protests.
“Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accused the government of using lathis, pellet guns, and even AK-47s against student protesters, questioning Amit Shah's accountability. The Congress has demanded a formal statement and apology from the Home Minister on the parliamentary floor, while investigations into recruitment exam irregularities have led to 20 arrests and Enforcement Directorate involvement.”
