- Bajaj has launched the Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS in India at Rs. 1,33,511 and Rs. 1,42,585 respectively (ex-showroom Delhi).
- The N160 S and SS use a newly developed 164.5cc single-cylinder four-valve engine producing 18bhp at 9,500rpm and 14.4Nm at 8,000rpm, with a claimed 0-60kmph time of 4.5 seconds.
- The N160 SS gets a five-inch TFT console with Google Maps mirroring, a first for a sports motorcycle in India, while the N160 S uses an LCD display with Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation.
- Both new bikes receive stronger chassis hardware: 37mm USD forks (up from 33mm), a 300mm front disc (up from 280mm), a 230mm rear disc, and a 130/70-17 rear radial tyre; fuel capacity remains 14 litres.
- The N160 S uses single-channel ABS, while the N160 SS gets dual-channel ABS and traction control; the SS also has adjustable levers, whereas the S uses fixed levers.
- The older 164.9cc engine develops 15.5bhp at 8,750rpm and 14.65Nm at 6,750rpm; the existing N160 uses air cooling and a mechanical throttle, while the new four-valve version is oil-cooled and gets an electronic throttle body.
- The electronic throttle, called Intelligent Throttle, enables a wider set of electronics, including four throttle-linked riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road.
- The N160 SS receives revisions to handlebar angle and seat height for comfort; three colours are available: Atlantic Blue, Pearl Metallic White and Brooklyn Black; the existing two-valve N160 will continue alongside.

The N160 S and SS boast advanced features including traction control and Google Maps mirroring, marking a significant upgrade from the existing two-valve Pulsar N160, which will continue to be available. The new models also feature an electronic throttle body and four riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road.
In terms of performance, the N160 SS claims a 0-60 km/h time of 4.5 seconds. The motorcycles are equipped with 37mm upside-down front forks and larger 300mm front discs, enhancing their handling and braking capabilities. The N160 S features a single-channel ABS, while the SS is equipped with dual-channel ABS.
Both models come with a fuel capacity of 14 litres and are available in three colors: Atlantic Blue, Pearl Metallic White, and Brooklyn Black. Bajaj emphasizes that the N160 SS is the first sports motorcycle in India to offer such advanced electronic features, enhancing rider comfort and safety.
