Austrian police have arrested a
39-year-old man in Burgenland, suspected of placing rat poison in jars of HiPP baby food. The arrest is linked to an attempted

This alarming situation surfaced after police received reports of tampering in a jar purchased on
April 18 in Eisenstadt. According to investigators, the affected product was a
190-gram (6.7-ounce) jar designed for 5-month-old infants.
Experts are currently assessing the toxicity of the poison, shedding light on the serious nature of the case. The Burgenland State Criminal Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into potential public endangerment, making it a priority to ensure consumer safety in the wake of these incidents.
