Air India Express is set to enhance air travel in Madhya Pradesh with new daily flights from Bhopal to Delhi and Mumbai, commencing August 1, 2026. The new routes will provide two daily flights between Delhi and Bhopal and one daily service on the Mumbai–Bhopal route, significantly enhancing the airline's domestic network. With Bhopal joining its operations, Air India Express will operate nearly 60 weekly flights across Madhya Pradesh's three major airports: Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior.4

Passengers from Bhopal will benefit from one-stop connections to key destinations in the Middle East, including Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Muscat, and Sharjah, facilitating international travel without the need for separate airline bookings. The new Indore–Abu Dhabi service is expected to bolster tourism, business travel, and support the large Indian expatriate community in the Gulf region.
This expansion is part of Air India Express's broader strategy to grow its domestic and international footprint, with a fleet of over 100 aircraft serving 43 domestic and 16 international destinations.
