Adani Enterprises reported a consolidated net loss of ₹1,160 crore for Q1 FY27, a stark contrast to the ₹885 crore profit in the same quarter last year. This loss was largely attributed to a $275 million settlement with the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), amounting to ₹2,644 crore.12310
Despite the loss, the company saw a 50% year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching ₹32,924 crore. Excluding the exceptional settlement, Adani reported a profit of ₹1,295 crore, with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) growing 49% YoY.
Total expenses surged 54% YoY to ₹32,252 crore, driven by a significant rise in the cost of materials consumed, which jumped to ₹14,255 crore from ₹3,393 crore a year earlier. The tax expense for the quarter was ₹219 crore, down from ₹571 crore in Q1 FY26.89
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, stated, “Adani Enterprises has begun FY27 with an exceptionally strong performance, delivering its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of ₹5,642 crore, driven by the growing scale and maturity of our infrastructure and incubation platforms.” Operationally, the company reported a 3% YoY increase in airport passenger traffic and a more than four-fold increase in copper sales.
The company also made strides in renewable energy, commissioning a new 1.7-GW solar module manufacturing line, and secured a new 400-MW hyperscale order for its data center business.
