- Police said the exact cause of death is yet to be established and that an investigation is underway from all possible angles. While the possibility of suicide is being considered, officials have not ruled out other angles, including murder.

- After learning about the incident, Rohit Pawar immediately reached the Government Medical College and Hospital and expressed grief, saying the incident left him shocked and raised concerns about the functioning of the police and the Home Department.
- Pawar said, "Ajit has been working with me since my Zilla Parishad days. It is difficult to understand how such an incident could happen to a child of such a young age. I have spoken to the police and doctors. There should be no negligence in the post-mortem process." He also urged authorities to ensure the truth comes out without lapses, adding, "We are waiting for the police investigation to be completed. The police must reveal the truth without any negligence. If there has been any lapse in the way the police handled the matter, it will come at a cost to them."
