Bollywood actor Dino Morea questioned by Mumbai Police in Rs 65 crore Mithi river scam

Bollywood actor Dino Morea and his brother were questioned by Mumbai Police's Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Wednesday regarding their alleged involvement in a Rs 65 crore scam related to the desilting of the Mithi river.

The Mithi river, which flows through Mumbai and drains into the Arabian Sea, has been the focus of a major investigation after the EOW registered a case earlier this month against 13 individuals, including civic officials and contractors.

"Among other things, the brothers were being questioned about their alleged links with middleman Ketan Kadam," who was arrested alongside another accused, Jai Joshi, officials said.

The scam reportedly involves irregularities and financial misappropriation in the river desilting project, which is critical for flood control in Mumbai.
