Akshay Kumar calls Paresh Rawal Hera Pheri 3 dispute serious at Housefull 5 launch

At the Housefull 5 trailer launch, Akshay Kumar addressed the ongoing legal dispute involving Paresh Rawal and the film Hera Pheri 3. When asked about the controversy, Kumar described it as a "serious matter" that would be handled through legal channels, refraining from further comment.

The dispute arose after Rawal exited Hera Pheri 3, prompting the production house to file a Rs 25 crore lawsuit against him. Reports indicate that Rawal returned his Rs 11 lakh signing amount along with 15% annual interest and an additional goodwill payment.

Rawal responded publicly on Twitter, stating, "My lawyer, Ameet Naik, has sent an appropriate response regarding my rightful termination and exit. Once they read my response, all issues will be laid to rest."

The controversy has drawn attention given Rawal's significant role in the popular comedy franchise. During a stage performance, Himesh Reshammiya acknowledged Rawal's contributions to the first two Hera Pheri films, calling him "fantastic" in both.
