Apart from acting, Mukul was a trained pilot, having completed his aviation training at the Rashtriya Uran Akademi in Raebareli. He worked as a commercial pilot for nearly a decade and even ran an aeronautical training institute before fully dedicating himself to acting.
Friends and colleagues expressed shock at his sudden demise. Actress Deepshikha Nagpal, who worked with him in

Maya 3, shared on Instagram, "We always updated each other. But this time, he never said anything—that he's not well or anything. It is unbelievable."
Mukul had been battling health issues and was admitted to a Delhi hospital for about 8-10 days before his death. Close friend Vindu mentioned Mukul's loneliness following the deaths of his parents, highlighting his close family ties.
