The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has taken a significant step to protect national security by banning the import of Chinese humanoid robots and power inverters. This decision reflects growing concerns over the potential misuse of advanced robotic technology.³

The FCC defines the banned robots as “advanced robotic devices,” which include both humanoid and quadruped machines. In addition to humanoid robots, the FCC also banned power inverters, crucial components used in data centers and solar panels, citing similar risks to the U.S. economy.
