- Cognition AI is in talks for new funding at a $40 billion valuation.
- One source said Cognition would be expected to raise more than $1 billion in the round.
Cognition AI is reportedly planning a funding round that could more than double its valuation to $40 billion. The company, which specializes in AI coding, is in discussions with investors to raise over $1 billion, according to sources cited by Bloomberg.12
This funding round comes less than three months after Cognition was valued at $26 billion. The firm’s annualized revenue run rate is nearing $1 billion, which is approximately double the revenue it reported previously. Cognition’s AI agent, Devin, automates engineering tasks and serves notable clients including Citi, Mercedes-Benz, Goldman Sachs, and the U.S. Army and Navy.
As the coding sector becomes increasingly competitive, with major players like Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX investing heavily in engineering, Cognition is positioned as a key player in this rapidly evolving market. Investors are eager to participate in this funding round, hoping to capitalize on Cognition's growth in one of the hottest areas of artificial intelligence.
“The funding round is expected to raise more than $1 billion, according to a Bloomberg source. This would mark a significant increase from Cognition's previous valuation, reflecting growing investor interest in AI coding tools.”
