Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled ambitious plans for Amaravati, aiming to establish it as a world-class capital based on five principles: poles-free, blue city, green city, green-energy city, and a deep-tech knowledge hub with an emerging Quantum Valley.4
During a public meeting, Naidu stated, “Amaravati will be developed as a completely pollution-free city and a deep-tech capital, with plans to transform it into an AI and Quantum Computing Valley.” He inaugurated the Seed Access Road, a major thoroughfare costing ₹1,519 crore, designed to enhance connectivity between Amaravati and surrounding regions, including Mangalagiri and Vijayawada.3910
The road, stretching 22 km, features nine lanes and will include a Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) corridor. Naidu emphasized that the construction follows the planning principles of the Indus Valley Civilisation and aims to alleviate traffic congestion.56
In addition, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) handed over a newly completed residential complex for MLAs, comprising 12 towers with 288 flats, to the General Administration Department. Naidu expressed confidence that by 2028, Amaravati would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.178
He asserted, “Amaravati is now unstoppable,” dismissing attempts by some individuals to obstruct its development. The Chief Minister's vision positions Amaravati as a leading city on the global stage, aiming to rank among the top five cities worldwide.
